*Spoilers Ahead*

After the savagery of Wanda Maximoff’s alter-ego, Scarlet Witch, and seen the pros of having this Illuminati group, who have, prevention is the best cure, Pre-vengers not Avengers mentality, 616 Doctor Strange comes back to the 616 Earth and introduce their very own Illuminati.

I said we'd lose. You said, "we'll do that together too." Guess what, Cap? We *lost,* and you weren't there. But that's what we do, right? Our best work after the fact? We're the *Avengers?* Not the Prevengers, right?

Tony Stark, as what Thanos said that is similar to him, is a futurist, looking for a way to battle anything that can happen in the future or prevent it, may it be affecting him or the planet Earth. The Ultron Program of having an armor (Iron Man Mark-type robots) around the world after the invasion Loki and the Chitauri army did in the iconic and infamous battle, “Battle of New York”. Tony had this “holding the knife” attitude which the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness expand through with 616 Doctor Strange. Which by the end of the film 616 Doctor Strange realized what is the meaning of not having to “hold the knife” every time. Even if 616 Doctor Strange was not present on the room where Tony made the “Prevengers” line, he had been involved in 2 catastrophic (one of them probably almost) events that probably now needs preparation and prevention. Hence, 616 need a version of the Illuminati.

After the Lagos incident, the world leaders met up and written the Sokovia Accords, which would put the Avengers in check and limit their actions that would be up to the World Security Council made up of leaders of different countries. While Captain America’s sentiment about the Accords will affect their freedom, Tony agrees with the notion of someone to put them in check and not become a group of outlaws that thinks they would be above the law. This caused the story of Captain America: Civil War. Doctor Strange could introduce a similar accord, naming it the “Scarlet Witch Accord”, to the superhero community/the Avengers. Wanda creating another accord for her action. This proposed (by me) accord would be for prevention and preparation of alien threats such as invasions and destructions. Instead of limiting threats, it can assess threats, prevent threats and prepare for such threats. Just like the “Sokovia Accords”, it would need a governing body that are familiar in different specialties for different threats. And thus, we need a group to represent the different aspect of the superhero community and have the common interest of protecting the planet Earth. This is the building of the Illuminati.

Building the 616 Illuminati

Here comes my Fantasy League Draft for 616 Illuminati.

PS: All of the character I am using to build the 616 Illuminati will be based on the MCU characters that have been introduced until to the point of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Of course most or all, characters are in the 616 MCU, because they would be protecting their reality/universe.

If I were Doctor Strange, my first pick will be…

Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme.

After Doctor Strange acknowledge the title of Sorcerer Supreme to Wong, he would be the first one to discuss about building this team. Doctor Strange got an idea on who would be in his version of the Illuminati, by meeting first the 838 Baron Mordo, who was the Sorcerer Supreme of the Universe 838, that represented the Mystic Arts. After learning his own version was the previous Sorcerer Supreme and the actions he did, 616 Doctor Strange needs a Master of the Mystic Arts to first combat any mystical/other dimensional threats in which they were already doing and can share knowledge in this type of matters to other defenders of Earth.

Wong would have the Sanctum Sanctorum and their practitioners at his disposal which was shown in Avengers: Endgame and the battle in Kamer Taj in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness.

Bruce Banner/Hulk, probably the “Smartest Alive” in the 616 Earth.

You could probably say the Defender of the Gamma-Ray and the “Smartest Man Alive” in Earth, where I can say Shuri can contend with, Bruce Banner would take the science-y stuff for the 616 Illuminati. He can be what 838 Reed Richards, being the representative for the science community. A role that would for sure Tony Stark would have taken if he did not do his ultimate sacrifice, as he is a futurist in mind, Bruce can also be said after the both of them were working with the Ultron Program and the Hulkbuster. Prevention and preparation, a good trait for an Illuminati decision maker.

Just as Tony said when threatened by an army, We have the Hulk!

Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers, Defender of the Cosmos.

The Illuminati from the 838 have their own Captain Marvel, the Defender of the Cosmos, their “spaceperson”, so why not get their own Captain Marvel in the 616. Captain Marvel of the 838 is Maria Rambeau, the best friend of 616 Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers. No, they do not know each other, but a what if mirror, if Maria Rambeau instead went to the practice flight with Dr. Wendy Lawson and got the Tesseract explosion giving her the power. The 616 Illuminati will need someone who knows the Space-scene and power at the same time.

Just like the Hulk, Carol Danvers got that ability to take on an army. She also knows the “good” version of the Skrulls on her side as well. Maybe some of the Kree?

If you would notice, these three were featured in the mid-credit scene of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, when they summoned Shang Chi and his friend to Kamer Taj and were looking into the Ten Rings Shang-Chi recently inherited. Wong brought Shang-Chi and his friend Kati to Kamer Taj to have him, Bruce Banner, and Carol Danvers discussed what the Ten Rings were doing, which is a beacon for something or someone. Danvers, Wong, and Banner do not have any idea what it is but it’s a relic/artifact that is more than 1000 years old, not in the Sanctum Sanctorum archive, and giving off a gamma-ray radiation. Pretty much, a glimpse of the 616 Illuminati, trying to prepare, prevent, and understand a possible threat in the form of the beacon of this unknown artifact.

So, who else would be in the seat of the Illuminati…?

Captain America/Falcon/Sam Wilson or Old-man Steve Rogers, Avenger representative.

War-tested and made. You will need a tactical mind in the group. As I have mentioned on what it takes to make it to the secret group of Illuminati is being knowledgeable and have the ideology of preventing, preparing, and understand a possible threat. A Captain with military background got those qualitied. Even though Steve Rogers was against the Ultron program, it was because of Tony Stark sketchy way to produce this program and with the exception of Bruce Banner, not having fellow Avengers into his plan, Rogers felt betrayed, thus probably not liking the idea. But, with the formation of the 616 Illuminati is for the protection for the people of 616 Earth, he will do his best in making decisions with them in mind. Sam Wilson pretty much echoes the belief of Steve Rogers, whichever Captain America will be in the Illuminati, will do.

Black Panther/Shuri, Wakanda leader, tech-genius, innovator, one of the brightest mind.

Rest in Peace Chadwick Boseman!

With an unfortunate death of Chadwick Boseman, the actor portraying T’challa, the Black Panther, King of Wakanda, the next Black Panther is unknown. Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever which will come out later in November 2022, director Ryan Coogler, who directed the first Black Panther movie, made rewrites and revision to the film sequel that Danai Gurira, who played Okoye, told Variety the film honors the late-Chadwick Boseman.

Even though we are months away from the sequel of Black Panther, a possible way to have another Black Panther is just as how the Black Panther mantle is passed, the next in the bloodline. Well actually the Wakanda different tribes can ask for the sacred ritual combat that they each tribes have the ability to fight for nobility against the Wakanda’s noble family, the bloodline of siblings T’challa and Shuri. Unless that challenge is used in the upcoming film, Shuri will be the one taking the mantle.

Might be too young to lead, Shuri has the Wakandan council if needed help in making decisions. I might have based this as what individuals’ capability to make decisions, they are also representatives of their own nation/group. Shuri’s capability is not something to laugh about, she is one of the smartest people on Earth. She made a recommendation on how to improve Vision, after the combine minds of Tony Stark and Bruce Banner did not even think about those solutions. Also, a tech genius like Tony Stark, she is also capable and knowledgeable on the strongest, rarest, and advanced metal in 616 Earth, Vibranium. Wakanda is the most advanced nation in terms of technology and research.

The Wakanda army is formidable and with the Black Panther they will be there if and when any threats arise.

But it is none other than the new leader of Asgard…

The Asgardian Queen herself…

Valkyrie, of the Valkyrior, the new leader of Asgard.

Given the blessing, or burden, by Thor to take care of the Asgardian that made 616 Earth as their new home. With Thor: Love and Thunder is in the horizon; we might see how the Asgardians will settle on 616 Earth. But, with these new citizens of the world, how would the 616 Earth humans will feel about this especially after what happened in the past years. Only the Earth mightiest hero, the Avengers, probably can bridge the gap and be the liaison for the Asgardians. With Tony Stark and Natasha Romanov sacrifice, Thor space vacation, and both Steve Rogers’ and Clint Barton’s retirement, only Bruce Banner/Hulk, who somehow became a celebrity in the 5-year blip, will do the liaison role. Also, Doctor Strange would have the knowledge of their existence as a short-lived Sorcerers Supreme, asking to be part of the 616 Illuminati is no question.

Valkyrie has travelled through out space as a bounty hunter after leaving her role as a Valkyrior, she would be knowledgeable in the space arena like Captain Marvel. Also being part of the Valkyrior, she has the battle prowess and strategic mind in case the Illuminati needs another tactician. She is knowledgeable regarding the history of Asgard and have the Asgardian army.

Leading this legendary army once again after the last battle against past-Thanos if a threat arises in their new home.

Learning to not always “hold the knife”, these available version for the 616 Illuminati, Earth 616 will be ready who wanted the smoke, may it be in the 616 cosmic threats, or a multiversal one.
